Abstract:

In this paper, the behavior of a hybrid back-boost converter with a positive output voltage is simulated. This converter consists of an amplifier voltage converter called KY converter and a modified synchronous converter (SR). The converter operates in continuous conduction mode (CCM) and has a non-shock output current, reducing the current stress in the output capacitor and reducing the output voltage ripple. Finally, in addition to describing the operation of the circuit, the correctness of the converter operation is simulated using PSP software.

A New Transformerless Buck-Boost Converter With Positive Output Voltage

A new transformerless buck–boost converterwith simple structure is proposed in this study. Comparedwith the traditional buck–boost converter, the proposedbuck–boost converter’s voltage gain is squared times of theformer’s and its output voltage polarity is positive. Theseadvantages enable it to work in a wider range of positiveoutput. The two power switches of the proposed buck–boost converter ...

Bidirectional Buck-boost Converter with Variable Output Voltage

An increasing number of manufacturing processes rely on ultra-high speed and accuracy machines. Piezoceramic actuators are being utilized as parts of such machines. So far, only linear and switched-capacitor power supplies have been used for driving piezoceramic actuators in such applications. This paper proposes a switch-mode power supply to reduce cost and increase system efficiency. In the p...

A Variable Output Voltage Switched-Capacitor DC-DC Converter with Pulse Density and Width Modulation (PDWM) for 57% Ripple Reduction at Low Output Voltage

In this paper, a novel switched-capacitor DC-DC converter with pulse density and width modulation (PDWM) is proposed with reduced output ripple at variable output voltages. While performing pulse density modulation (PDM), the proposed PDWM modulates the pulse width at the same time to reduce the output ripple with high power efficiency. The prototype chip was implemented using 65 nm CMOS proces...

Controlling Both the DC Boost and AC Output Voltage of Z-Source Inverter Using Neural Network Controller with Minimization of Voltage Stress Across Devices

This paper presents a method to control both the dc boost and the ac output voltage of Z-source inverter using neural network controllers. The capacitor voltage of Z-source network has been controlled linearly in order to improve the transient response of the dc boost control of the Z-source inverter. The peak value of the line to line ac output voltage is used to control and keep the ac output...
